Rollover Crash Injures Four People on US 41 Just North of Lake Cook Rd, Highland Park

Accident Investigation on US 41 between Lake Cook Road and Clavey Rd near Highland Park.

Highland Park police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 12:00 AM Sunday to a rollover crash 42.155848,-87.801427 (US 41 North of Lake Cook Road Highland Park, IL). Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that a vehicle was rolled over, that one victim was trapped in the car, and that a female victim was down on the pavement.

The vehicle — a silver sedan — was upside down in the northbound lanes with severe front end damage. The vehicle appeared to have possibly hit the median wall had before.

Two rescue ambulances from Highland Park Fire Department and two rescue ambulances from Northbrook Fire Department responded to the scene.

At least one victim was transported to Level I Trauma Center Evanston Hospital in Evanston.

Northbound US 41 was blocked at Lake Cook Road for several hours during rescue operations and during a prolonged accident investigation.
