Real Solution became the winner of the Arlington Million at Arlington Park on August 17, 2013 when The Apache was disqualified and placed second for bumping in the stretch. In addition to getting placed first, Real Solution scored guaranteed entry into the 2013 Breeders’ Cup Turf.

The Apache crossed the finish line first in an exciting run through the home stretch with Real Solution, but The Apache was disqualified after Real Solution jockey Alan Garcia and trainer Chad Brown claimed foul. A stewards’ inquiry ruled there was bumping multiple times in the backstretch of the 31st running of the Arlington Million on Saturday at Arlington Park or Arlington International.

The Apache was moved to second place with the disqualification.

The Arlington Million is a Grade I 1 1/4-mile turf race.
