Buffalo Grove police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 2:25 PM Friday to a personal injury crash at Lake Cook Road and Buffalo Grove Road Buffalo Grove, IL. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that two vehicles crashed in the intersection.
A male teen driver was traveling eastbound in a Honda Accord on Lake Cook Road and turned north onto Buffalo Grove Road in front of a Honda Odyssey that was headed westbound on Lake Cook Road.
Five people in the Honda Odyssey were injured and transported to either Northwest Community Hospital or Advocate Condell Medical Center. A sixth passenger in the van was not injured, and the driver of the Honda Accord was also not injured.
Firefighter/paramedics from Arlington Heights and Long Grove responded to the scene in addition to two Buffalo Grove rescue ambulances.
The driver of the Honda Accord was issued a citation for failure to yield. The driver of the Odyssey was charged with driving without a valid license.
