A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms starts tonight about 7:00 p.m., but the likely hood for storms and precipitation is about 1:00 a.m. through 6:00 a.m. A cool front is at the Canadian border, but another cool front is expected to develop closer to our area this afternoon and head south through Wisconsin and northern Illinois tonight (Current Fronts Map).
National Night Out weather should start at about 82°F at 6:00 p.m. with sun and clouds and gradual easing of the heat to about 78°F at 9:00 p.m. Gentle south winds are expected. Increasing clouds after 7:00 p.m. with a slight chance of precipitation also starting at about 7:00 p.m. Rain is not expected until about 1:00 a.m., but the timing of the onset and development of rain is a little uncertain.
