After 8:40 a.m. the showers appear to be developing all across northern Illinois. The showers appearing in northeast Illinois will likely continue to develop. If the showers stop early, we will hit the 80s, otherwise we’ll only see a high in the upper 70s.
Total rain today between 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m. is expected to be less than 0.4 inch. Thunderstorms might arrive ahead of the 1:00 p.m. forecast.
