Riverwoods police and Lincolnshire-Riverwood firefighter/paramedics responded about 1:40 PM Saturday to a report of a person that fell of a horse near Portwine Road and Daiquiri Trail Riverwoods, IL. Firefighter/paramedics arrived to find a horse involved in the incident was dead on the side of the road in a ditch. No word on the extent of injuries to the rider or how the horse died.
