Wheeling police responded about 12:27 PM Saturday to a report of a retail theft in progress at Walmart, 1455 E Lake Cook Rd Wheeling, IL. Police received a report that an offender took an air conditioner out of the store.
The offender was described as a male/black wearing a white polo short and black shorts. He fled running eastbound toward Lexington Drive after dropping an air conditioner in the parking lot. The air conditioner was valued over $200.
Police captured the suspect by about 12:35 p.m. in the area east of Walmart.
The suspect was transported in custody to Wheeling Police Department Headquarters.
