High Value Theft of Coins and Jewelry on North Walnut Ave in Terramere, Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police received a report about 7:01 AM Sunday of a theft in the block of 4200 N Walnut Avenue Arlington Heights, IL. Police received a report that an unknown offender or offenders took a high value amount of jewelry and coins.

Taken was a high value coin collection from inside the garage. Three shoe boxes were hidden in the garage containing a gold wedding band valued at $500, a wife’s engagement ring and wedding band (with diamonds and rubies on the rings) valued at $3,000, a gold coin valued at $20, and approximately 100 other coins, mostly silver dollars, valued at $16,500. The total value of the theft was about $20,000.

The crime is reported to have occurred between Thursday, June 13, 2013 at 10:00 am. and Sunday, June 16, 2013 at 7:00 a.m.
