Addison 4-Alarm Fire Guts Oak Meadows Golf Club

A fire (see video from Spot News Chicago) that started as “smoke in the building” about 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Oak Meadows Golf Club in Addison progressed to a 4-alarm fire through the night. The first extra alarm was called just after 8:00 p.m. and was struck out at about 12:30 p.m. Friday.

The fire is believed to be caused by a lightning strike to the tudor style building, which was built in the 1920’s. No injuries were reported.
