An Elk Grove Village fire engine was involved in an accident with a car at Beisterfield and Wellington about 7:30 a.m. Tuesday.
One person was injured and an extrication rescue operation was necessary to free an accident victim from wreckage. The injured person was transported to Alexian Brothers Medical Center.
