Ashlee Arnau Can Flip and Shoot Half Court and Score at the Same Time, Really

Ashlee Arnau, a cheerleader at William Carey University in Hattiesburg, Miss., made an incredible front-flip half-court shot Thursday night at halftime of the school’s men’s basketball game that became an instant Internet sensation.

A basketball was placed on the floor at midcourt. Ashlee Arnau, a 21-year-old junior, approached it with a running start, did a front-flip, grabbed the ball while she was upside down, and then shot it toward the basket while her legs swung around. Her unbelievable front-flip half-court shot occurred Thursday night at halftime of the school’s men’s basketball game.

Almost two weeks ago, Hattisburg, Mississippi was struck by a large and violent EF4 multiple-vortex wedge tornado that devastated portions of Hattiesburg, West Hattiesburg, and Petal, Mississippi. Smaller communities and rural areas in the same area, were also damaged during the late afternoon and early evening, when the tornado struck on Sunday, February 10, 2013.
