#ad▼

With falls reported as the leading cause of fatal injuries among older adults, Northwest Community Healthcare (NCH) is hosting a free fall risk screening clinic. NCH physical therapists will help individuals learn about their risk of falling and what they can do to keep themselves safe at home.

NCH’s fall risk screening clinic is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, March 1, at the NCH Outpatient Center, 3300 Kirchoff Road, Rolling Meadows. Individual appointments last approximately 30 minutes.

Approximately one-third of Americans over age 65 suffer a fall each year. Every 17 seconds an older adult is treated in an emergency room for a fall and an older adult dies every 29 minutes following a fall. To sign up for this free clinic and learn what you can do to prevent falls, call 847.618.3890.
