Traffic Alert: Railroad Gate Malfunction at Northwest Highway and Arlington Heights Rd, Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police responded about 7:12 AM Friday to a report of train gates malfunctioning at Arlington Heights Road and Northwest Highway Arlington Heights, IL. Police responded to a call of a problem with the train gates. Police reported the northbound are gates up, and the southbound gates are down while gates are flashing.

Traffic being diverted to other crossing grades for southbound traffic.

A similar malfunction was occurring last night during the snow storm. The gate would go back up with a nudge by a police officer.
