Law enforcement officials in a suburban Denver school district have ordered their officers to complete paperwork in school parking lots as a way to improve their safety measures after the Sandy Hook shootings.

Douglas County Superintendent Liz Fagen explains that the school district provides free access to Wi-Fi for police Internet connections while they are positioned in a school parking lot.

The intermittent security is meant to deter criminals from thinking about acting out a criminal offense on school property.
