Heater Fire in Hallway of Metropolis Condos Activates Fire Alarm at Metropolis Condos and La Roca Tapas Restaurant

Arlington Heights police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 5:31 PM Tuesday to an activated fire alarm at Metropolis Condos, 10 South Dunton Avenue Arlington Heights. Firefighters reported they discovered a small heater on fire in a hallway on the third floor that was put out with a fire extinguisher.

Firefighters were working past 6:00 p.m. clearing and ventilating rooms and hallway of any smoke remaining in the building.
