Chicago-Arlington Heights Snowfall: Less Than 0.25 Inch on Grass and Pavement; Snow Cover Less than 0.25 Inch

New snowfall for Chicagoland area and Arlington Heights Wednesday and Wednesday night, January 23, 2012. On grassy areas and pavement, less than 0.25 inch of snow accumulated in Arlington Heights. Snow fell Wednesday on-and-off from about 8:30 a.m. until about 10:00 p.m. Visibility was affected by near white-out conditions occasionally.

On and off snow showers are forecast for the day on Thursday, but steady light snow is forecast to begin about midnight, and last through the day on Friday until about 6:00 p.m. About one-half inch likely, but up to 2.1 inches possible Friday.
