Areas of Central and Southern Indiana are coping with huge floods after heavy rains. At least one death is blamed on the weather.

One weather-related death reported a part of Indiana 26 in Grant County flooded late Sunday. Ball State freshman Blake A. Taylor, of Kokomo, was on his returning to school when his car hydroplaned and flipped into a ditch with 4 to 5 feet of water. Taylor was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

Video in Hancock County shows wide areas of flooding. The National Weather Service reports flooding could persist through the upcoming weekend, following two-to-five inches of rain that fell last Sunday.
