Reckless Driver Reported by Two Motorists: Arrested DUI on Dryden Ave Near Euclid Ave, Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police arrested a DUI driver about 11:09 PM Wednesday after receiving at least two motorist reports of a reckless driver near Euclid Avenue and Dryden Avenue. Police received a report that a driver of a red Pontiac was swerving and almost ran another motorist off the road on wesbound Euclid Avenue from Stratford Road. Police received a call from a second motorist that a vehicle with the same description was being driven back-and-forth on Euclid Avenue, making U-turns in intersections, and hitting curbs.

Police had the vehicle stopped within about five minutes in the 700 block of North Dryden Avenue.

The driver was arrested and transported in custody to Arlington Heights Police Department Headquarters. The driver’s Pontiac was towed to a police holding area.
