Four Ways To Give: Holiday Assistance Program Helps Families in Need (Dec. 14 Deadline)

#ad▼

Create a wonderful holiday season for residents in Arlington Heights who are struggling to make ends meet by participating in the Village’s Holiday Assistance Program.

Families that are a part of the program consist of needy one-parent households, two-parent households, individuals with disabilities and senior citizens. Recipient families have filled out extensive applications and each family member has a wish list for the holidays. Sponsors may donate anything they choose, as long as the gifts are new and there is something for everyone in the family. Your kind generosity is greatly appreciated.

All gifts/donations must be received by Friday, December 14. If you are interested in helping others through this program, please call Health Services at (847) 368-5760 to sponsor a family with holiday gifts. You can also email [email protected].

If you would like to make a cash donation, please make checks payable to Holiday Assistance Program and mail to 33 S. Arlington Heights Road, Arlington Heights, IL 60005.

Four Ways to Give:

Cash Donations:
100% of all monetary donations will be used to help some of the families with overwhelming bills due to loss of a job, medical expenses, or gifts for those who do not get sponsored.

Food Certificates:
You can purchase food certificates from most of the major grocery stores. These make nice gifts because it allows the families to purchase fresh foods they enjoy.

General donations:
You can donate general gifts for any age or gender you wish. We will accept only new gifts still in the package. Please label all gifts with age, size, gender and include a brief description of the item.

Sponsor a Family:
If you commit to a specific individual, please know that you are accepting the responsibility to purchase new gifts for that person. When sponsoring a whole family, be sure to give the same number of gifts to each child. All gifts should be labeled with the family ID number, age, size, gender and brief description of each gift.

Gifts must be delivered to Health Services, first floor of Village Hall by Friday, December 14. Please make an appointment before dropping off your gifts by calling 847-368-5792. Village Hall is located at 33 S. Arlington Heights Road.
