No injuries were reported after a fire started in the diesel tank of a construction crane building a high-rise. The driver of the crane escaped when the fire started. Minutes later the steel of the crane arm failed and collapsed on another building. The crane is owned by Lend Lease, which also owned the crane that collapse in New York City during hurricane/superstorm Sandy. The construction site was closed down about two weeks ago because of a concern about leaking diesel fuel from the crane’s cabin, according to the Sydney Morning Herald.

Ultimo is an inner-city suburb of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia — located just southwest of the Sydney central business district. Many local government offices are located in the area.
