Long Beach Police Release Surveillance Video Showing Man Firebombed by Stranger

WARNING GRAPHIC SURVEILLANCE VIDEO: Man firebombed by Molotov Cocktail device. After ignition, the offender apparently runs toward the lower right of the screen; the victim (on fire) runs toward the upper right.

Long Beach Police Department released a surveillance video recorded outside a market on Pacific Coast Highway on October 19, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. The video shows a man was set on fire while sitting in front of a market.

The man, sitting with his back to the wall, did not know the offender and was waiting for his father to exit the market. The 54-year-old victim suffered burns to his legs and hospitalized in serious condition.
