Lindenhurst police and Lake Villa firefighter/paramedics responded about 8:50 a.m. Tuesday October 2, 2018 to a report of a head-on crash on Sand Lake Road between Beck Road and Country Place.
Two people, both drivers, suffered what were initially reported as non-life-threatening injuries.
Police reported that a 2004 Toyota driven westbound by a 47-year-old Lindenhurst man crossed into oncoming traffic in the eastbound lane and crashed with a 2014 Chevrolet, driven by a 36-year-old Lindenhurst woman.
Sand Lake Road was closed between Beck Road and Country Place for about 45 minutes during rescue, investigation and removal of vehicles.
