Arlington Heights police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 7:31 PM Thursday September 13, 2018 to a report of a crash with injuries at Arlington Heights Road and Sigwalt Street Arlington Heights, Il. Police and firefighter/paramedics received a report that two people were injured in a crash in the intersection.

Two people who were in a white GMC Denali initially refused transportation, but then requested paramedics to return about 8:10 p.m. The two people were transported with injuries that initially appeared to be minor.

A witness said that the driver of the black Dodge Dart was southbound on Arlington Heights Road making a left turn on a yellow light on to Sigwalt Street, when the driver of the white GMC Denali was northbound on Arlington Heights Road, and accelerated to get through the yellow light.

The Denali’s front end hit the Dart’s passenger side. Both vehicles had moderate-to-severe damage.
