Follow-up on Multiple Vehicle Burglaries Reported on South Side Along Algonquin Rd, Arlington Heights

Multiple vehicle burglaries were reported Monday and Tuesday along Algonquin Road at businesses parking areas, hotel parking lots, and a residence.

In a residential driveway in the 200 block of Council Trail, an unknown offender or offenders entered an unlocked white 2010 Ford Transit Connect and removed a DeWalt power drill ($200), five ADT Bullet cameras ($500) and a toolbox containing miscellaneous tools. Offender(s) also shattered the rear window of a white 2001 Chevy Astro van and removed a Honda power washer ($500). The crime is reported to have occurred between Sunday, August 19, 2012 and Tuesday, August 21, 2012.

At the Courtyard of Marriott, 100 West Algonquin Road, an unknown offender or offenders shattered the driver side window of a white 2002 Ford Econoline van, forced open an interior metal cage door and removed a bag of tools valued at $300. The vehicle damage estimate is $200. The crime is reported to have occurred overnight between Sunday, August 19, 2012 and Monday morning, August 20, 2012.

At the Red Roof Inn, 22 West Algonquin Road, an unknown offender or offenders shattered the driver side window of a white 2010 GMC Savana, entered the van and ransacked through property without removing any items. The vehicle damage estimate it $200. The crime is reported to have occurred between Sunday, August 19, 2012 and Tuesday, August 21, 2012.

At the Doubletree Hotel, 75 West Algonquin Road, an unknown offender or offenders shattered the front passenger side window on a black 2013 Chevy Impala and removed a Garmin GPS valued at $150. The crime is reported to have occurred between Sunday, August 19, 2012 and Tuesday, August 21, 2012.

At Benefax, a printer and fax sales and service company at 565 W. Golf Road, an unknown offender or offenders shattered the driver side windows on two white 2005 Chevy Astro vans and removed a Motorola cell phone valued at $30. No damage estimate available.

At Dynamic Technology, a scientific measurement company, 718 West Algonquin Road, an unknown offender or offenders shattered the driver side window on a white 2008 Chevy Express van and removed a Garmin GPS ($300) and a silver Verizon flip phone ($50). The crime is reported to have occurred overnight between Sunday, August 19, 2012 and Monday morning, August 20, 2012.

At Erdmann Exterior Design; a roofing, windows and siding company; 762 W. Algonquin Road, an unknown offender or offenders shattered the passenger side window of a white 2005 Ford Econoline van, forced open the sliding door separating the cab from the cargo area and may have taken property. No damage estimate was available. The crime is reported to have occurred overnight between Sunday, August 19, 2012 and Monday morning, August 20, 2012.

At Johnson Controls, 720 W. Algonquin Road, an unknown offender or offenders entered an unlocked white 2008 Ford Econoline van, and rummaged through the property without taking any items. The crime is reported to have occurred overnight between Sunday, August 19, 2012 and Monday morning, August 20, 2012.

It is possible that all of these burglaries occurred before Tuesday — not confirmed.
