Arlington Heights police responded about 2:54 a.m. Saturday to a residential burglary “in progress” in the 1100 block of South Belmont Avenue. Police received a report that a resident yelled at two offenders who were attempting to forcibly enter a garage door.
The offenders were described as two male/white subjects in their late teens or early 20’s wearing baseball hats and dark jackets. The subjects were carrying back backs, and were last seen heading down the driveway.
On Friday August 10, 2012 a vehicle burglary was reported to have occurred a couple of blocks away in the 1200 block of South Douglas Avenue between midnight and 5:00 a.m. A social security card, driver’s license, several credit cards and keys were removed from an unlocked white Ford Super Duty truck.
A red Toyota Corolla was also burglarized and a garage was burglarized in two incidents occurring between Tuesday, August 7, 2012 and Friday, August 10, 2012.
A residential burglary also occurred in the 1200 block of South Belmont Avenue between August 7, 2012 at 8:00 p.m. and August 10, 2012 at 1:30 p.m. An unknown offender or offenders took hundreds of dollars worth of power tools from an unlocked detached garage.
A residential garage burglary was also reported in the 1200 block of South Haddow Avenue. The crime is reported to have occurred between Thursday, August 9, 2012 at 10:30 p.m. and Friday, August 10, 2012 at 6:30 a.m.
