Retail Theft ‘Just Occurred’ At Jewel-Osco On North Vail Avenue, Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police received a report about 9:45 AM Sunday of retail theft from Jewel-Osco, 122 North Vail Avenue. Police received a report that the suspect was described as a male/white, 20-30 years-old, balding with a beard, wearing a gray sweatshirt hoodie, and jeans. Police received a report that the suspect stuffed something in his hoodie.

The suspect was reported to be running toward the train station and then a second report updated the offender’s location to northbound on Dunton Avenue. Police had two suspects in custody just southwest of Miner Street and Evergreen Avenue at about 10:52 a.m. Both suspects were transported in custody to Arlington Heights Police Department headquarters.
