Arlington Heights police responded about 7:49 p.m. Saturday to a report of a fight in progress in the 1100 block of East Algonquin Road. Police received a report of about six male subjects fighting in front of the building facing Algonquin Road, and were updated that the group were beating up one person and taking him toward the parking lot.

Police on the scene call for firefighter/paramedics for a battery victim in the 1100 block of East Algonquin Road. Police also called for a Spanish language translator from Mount Prospect Police Department.

One fight victim, who was covered with blood, was reported to be hiding in the building in the 2700 block of West Algonquin Road, Mount Prospect. He was believed to have been a male subject that threw a bottle at police when he fled. He was charged with aggravated assault to a police officer — not confirmed. He was described as a male/Hispanic, 25-30-years-old, about 5’5″ wearing a white shirt, checkered shorts — and intoxicated. When he ran from police he fell face-first into concrete, but kept on going. He was detained by Mount Prospect police, and he was transported to the hospital by a second ambulance that responded to the scene. Arlington Heights police followed, apparently for the aggravated assault charge. The subject was also wanted for previous charge(s) by Mount Prospect police.
