Hit-and-Run Crash with Tree; Red Convertible Hit Tree on S. Yale Ave, Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police responded about 3:38 p.m. Tuesday to a report of a hit-and-run crash with a tree in the 600 block of South Vail Avenue. Police received a report that a red convertible turned onto Vail Avenue and hit a tree. The offending vehicle fled northbound Yale and then eastbound on Park Street. Police alerted area police departments and police officers to be on the lookout for a hit-and-run offender vehicle. The offending vehicle was described as a newer model red convertible with significant front, left side damage with a male/white driver in his 20’s and a female/white passenger in her 20’s.
