Bank Fraud Report by Buffalo Grove Resident

#ad▼

Buffalo Grove police received a report from a resident in the 900 block of Pine Tree Circle South that she received notification from her bank that two withdrawals were made from her account — one in the amount of $4,000.00 and one in the amount of $4,850.00. The withdrawals were made in person at banks in New York. The resident did not authorize the withdrawals and reported that she knows no one in New York. The bank has closed the account, will follow up, and is presumably responsible for correcting the error.

The crime is reported to have occurred between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Friday, May 11, 2012.
