#ad▼

Arlington Heights police and Buffalo Grove police responded 7:11 a.m. Wednesday to a hit-and-run crash on eastbound Lake Cook Road, just west of Arlington Heights Road. The offending driver told the victim, “Sorry, I can’t get in any more trouble,” and fled the scene eastbound on Lake Cook Road.

The driver was described as a male/black subject, and the vehicle was a light brown or tan Pontiac Grand Prix. Buffalo Grove police stopped a Pontiac that matched the description, but the vehicle was going westbound, and had no damage.

Police were investigating, but no word on any arrest, or whether the offending driver had second thoughts and was returning to the scene of the crash.
