Purse Taken in Arlington Heights Vehicle Burglary on Algonquin Rd, But Driver’s License Mysteriously Returned

Arlington Heights police received a report of a vehicle burglary in the parking lot of Panera Bread, 1736 W. Algonquin Road. Police received a report that an unknown offender or offenders entered the unlocked silver 1999 Honda Accord and removed the following items a blue denim purse/backpack, $20 cash that was inside the purse, various makeup and personal items, a driver’s license, credit and debit cards, an Apple iPod ($250) and Texas Instrument calculator worth $100. The driver’s license was later returned to the victim’s home by an unknown subject.

The crime is reported to have occurred on Monday, April 16th between 12:20-12:50pm. The burglary was reported on April 19, 2012.
