The Northern Illinois Scholastic Press Association awarded Ian Hogan with a blue ribbon on April 13, 2012 for his photo called “just for discs” which appeared in The Prospector newspaper October 7, 2011. Ian captured Chocobots Frisbee team players and seniors Tom Cortesi and Ian Hogan reaching for a Frisbee during their Ultimate Frisbee club game on September 30, 2011.
Ian’s photo was selected with the top honor and the judge’s comment to Ian “Nice action that captures the movement. Good technically too.” Ian’s adviser is Mr. Jason Block of Prospect High school. Ian is the executive visual editor of the school paper.
Ian Hogan, 17, also has his own photography business specializing in advertising, weddings and artisan photography at IanWilliam.com. Ian is a junior at Prospect High School in Mt Prospect. The competition was held at Huntley High School. Ian was also selected to design this year’s cover for the NISPA Conference Schedule.
