Storm Chasers Jeff Piotrowski, Kathryn Piotrowski and Jeremy Holmes capture a stovepipe tornado and wedge tornado on the ground near Woodward OK and Sharon OK, just days before a deadly tornado ripped through Woodward.

The power of a tornado carrying a tree or part of tree high into the air was captured by video on April 9, 2012 by storm chasers Jeff Piotrowski, Kathryn Piotrowski, and Jeremy Holmes. The sighting was just days before the fatal tornado that hit Woodward, Oklahoma on April 14, 2012.

Tornado events and associated updrafts and winds are known to send documents or objects (and unfortunately even people and animals) miles away from the location where the tornado touched down.
