Burglary: Possible Gypsy/Ruse Scam on Kensington Court, Palatine

Palatine police responded about 3:27 pm. Monday to a possible Gypsy scam in the block of Kensington Court. Police received a report that a male/Hispanic subject came up to the house and talked to the homeowner. The male/Hispanic subject told the homeowner that he was the repairman that worked on the house about 10 or 12 years ago. There were two other subjects also walking in the area. The man noticed that items were missing from the house after the subjects left.

The crime is reported to have occurred about 1:30 p.m. Monday. Palatine police are investigating.
