Elk Grove Village firefighter/paramedics responded about 5:00 p.m. Thursday to Busse Woods after smoke was reported near Arlington Heights Road and Interstate 90 and in the Busse Woods forest preserve.
Firefighters searched for several minutes and discovered workers conducting a prescribed burn inside the forest preserve in Grove 4. The fire was reported under control about 5:15 p.m. Thursday.
