Arlington Heights police arrested Robert Schultz, 43, who lives with his father in the 500 block of South Lincoln Lane after Chicago police gave the Arlington Heights police a lead regarding the suspect.

Chicago police were monitoring file sharing networks on January 31, 2012 when they discovered illegal file downloads to the address on Lincoln Lane. According to prosecutors, Arlington Heights police received the Chicago Police Department lead, obtained a warrant, confiscated and searched the suspect’s laptop, and found 10 videos and several photographs of underage children engaged in sexual conduct. Robert Schultz later admitted to downloading the images.

As a condition of the bond posted by his father (an unknown percentage of $10,000 bail/usually 10%), the father agreed to discontinue his son’s access. Robert Schultz was also ordered to not have any contact with children.
