Vehicle Owner Attacked by Vehicle Burglar on North Wilshire, Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police responded about 4:24 a.m. Saturday to a report of vehicle burglary in progress in the 3100 block of North Wilshire. Police received a report that a vehicle burglar attacked the vehicle owner when the vehicle owner came out to stop the burglary. The offender fled, and there was no request for paramedics. Police received a report that the offender was described as male/white about 19-years-old. Several police units searched the neighborhoods, but the streets were empty.
