Vehicle Pedestrian Incident: Female Transported with Life Threatening Injuries Dies at Northwest Community Hospital

UPDATE: Victim identified as Yesenia Enriquez, 23, of Chicago.

Palatine police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 5:37 p.m. Thursday to a report of a vehicle vs. pedestrian incident at Quentin Road and Peder Lane.

Quentin Road was closed between Northwest Highway and Colfax Street for rescue and investigation.

The location was close to a train vs. car crash that occurred almost three hours later at 8:24 p.m. at the railroad crossing at Quentin and Colfax a few blocks south. No injuries were reported in the train vs. car crash.

Palatine Police Technical Accident Investigators Team is investigating the crash.
