Driver OK After Car Was “Clipped” By Metra Train Near Quentin and Colfax Crossing, Palatine

Palatine police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 8:34 p.m. to a Metra passenger train vs. car near Quentin and Colfax. Police received a report that the driver of the car was out walking around and that no passengers aboard the Metra train were injured after a train “clipped” a car. The car was not on the railroad tracks after the crash, which was located between the Palatine Metra Station and the Barrington Metra station.

Outbound Metra Train No. 657 was stopped at Quentin Road after the crash. The train was scheduled to arrive in Crystal Lake at 8:55 p.m.
