Retail Theft Suspect Arrested at Dominick’s on Euclid Ave, Palatine

Palatine police responded about 6:21 p.m. Wednesday to a suspicious incident at Dominick’s, 720 West Euclid Avenue. Police received a report that a man was scraping prices off of items inside the store and placing them in a shopping cart. Next police were updated that the suspect was heading very quickly toward the door by the floral section just before police arrive.

The suspect was described as male/white about 35-years-old with a beard and mustache, wearing a Bears jacket and a black cap. The suspect was stopped by security just as police arrived.

The suspect was transported in custody to Palatine Police Department Headquarters.
