Warm December 2011: Seasonably Cold This Morning with Return to Above Average Temperatures Next 3 Days

A little cold this morning after 17 consecutive above-average daily high temperatures, but warming up again tonight.

Today: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 35. Calm wind becoming south between 5 and 10 mph.

Tonight: A 20 percent chance of rain after midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a temperature rising to around 34 by 5am. South southwest wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph.

Thursday: Partly sunny, with a high near 45. Breezy, with a west southwest wind between 10 and 20 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Arctic cold stays north in northern Canada. 40’s expected Thursday, Friday and Saturday. If the forecast hold true, this December 2011 will join a class of 11 other Decembers since 1870 to bring 20 daily highs of 40°F or greater.
