Vandalism to Mail Boxes, Christmas Lights in Arlington Heights, Buffalo Grove, Elk Grove Village

Elk Grove Village police responded about 8:13 p.m. Tuesday to a report of criminal damage to property that just occurred in the 1900 block of Gibson. Police received a report that a driver hit a mail box with his vehicle.

Another reported was received by police about 8:15 p.m. that a vehicle was hitting mail boxes on the 400 block of Franklin Lane.

Garbage cans were also tipped in the neighborhood.

Elk Grove Village police also received a report about 8:18 p.m. Tuesday of teens in a dark minivan that were smashing Christmas decorations with baseball bats on Madison Court and were last seen southbound on Wisconsin toward Nerge.

Arlington Heights police received a report about 8:22 p.m. Tuesday that high school-age subjects were traveling in a red 4-door — smashing a mail box with baseball bats and egging a house.

Earlier in the day, Buffalo Grove police received a report that a mail box was damaged overnight in the 2100 block of Birchwood Lane.
