Ruse Burglary on East Golf Road, Arlington Heights

Arlington Heights police responded about 4:17 p.m. Monday to a report of a ruse burglary in the 700 block of East Golf Road. Police received a report that two men came to the door at an apartment and said they had to fix the water. They entered the apartment and took a bag that contained personal papers, identification, credit cards, and jewelry.

The offenders were described as two male/Hispanic suspects. One subject was wearing a green jacket and a baseball hat. the second subject was described as a male/Hispanic with a slim build and a dark jacket.

The subjects fled in a white or beige minivan with no lettering on the vehicle.

Arlington Heights police sent an evidence technician to the scene.
