VIDEO: Double rollover crash on eastbound Palatine Road near Burning Bush Drive in Prospect Heights.
Prospect Heights police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 12:45 a.m. Sunday to a report of a rollover crash in the Palatine Road frontage lanes west of Milwaukee Avenue. Police arrived to find to vehicles rolled over and crashed in an empty lot off of the eastbound lanes of Palatine Road frontage lanes. Both vehicles rolled over — a Jeep Grand Cherokee was on its roof and a Volkswagen was upright.
Occupants of one of the Jeep fled on foot. Occupants of the Volkswagen were standing near the vehicle with minor injuries.
The right rear wheel was ripped off of the Jeep Grand Cherokee. Turf was wedged in the roof of the Volkswagen.
