Schaumburg police responded about 6:22 p.m. Thursday to a report of a fight in the intersection of Higgins Road and Meacham Road. Schaumburg police received a report that a road rage incident escalated to a fight that involved both men getting out of their vehicles with one man putting a knife to another man’s throat. The report to police by witnesses stated that the driver of a dark blue Hyundai Elantra put a knife to another man’s throat. Witnesses report that both men got back in their vehicles and headed eastbound on Higgins Road.

The only information police could obtain from the witnesses was that there was a motorist dispute, and the driver of the Hyundai Elantra pulled out the knife during the dispute.

Police searched along Higgins Road toward Busse Woods and reported nothing out of the ordinary.
