Vehicle Burglary on West Dundee Road, Buffalo Grove

Buffalo Grove police received a report about 2:38 p.m. Friday of a burglary to vehicle in the 400 block of West Dundee Road. Police received a report that a purse was taken from a black Toyota Forerunner.

A witness reported that a man drove off in a small light-colored sedan — possibly a Toyota Camry or Malibu. No further description of the offender was available. An employee heard a crashing sound in the rear parking lot. The employee looked out through a peep hole and saw a male subject in a black hat getting into a light colored sedan and drive off. Another employee then noticed that the passenger side window of her car was smashed. When she went to her vehicle, she saw that her purse had been taken from the passenger seat.


Buffalo Grove police also received a report about 1:56 p.m. Friday of a suspicious man in the 200 block of West Dundee Road. Police received a report that a male/black in his 30’s wearing a blue jacket and blue pants was walking through the parking lot and checking car doors. A witness reported the man left in a blue Chevy Impala and headed eastbound on Dundee Road.
