Mount Prospect police responded about 4:00 a.m. Friday to a report of a burglary to vehicle that just occurred in the 1800 block of Cree Lane. A vehicle owner discovered two subjects running away from his vehicle, which had its door open. One subject ran eastbound and one subject ran westbound.
Within 20 minutes police discovered two male subjects — one at the Mobil station at Wolf and Euclid and one sleeping in a car at Columbine Drive and Wood Lane. The man found at Columbine and Wood was transported in custody to Mount Prospect Police Department Headquarters. The man found at the Mobil station was not arrested.
