Another Gas Line Hit in Palatine: Half-Inch Residential Supply Line Severed on East Cunningham Dr

Palatine police and firefighter/paramedics responded about 8:38 a.m. Wednesday to a report that a landscaping crew hit a residential gas line in the 600 block of East Cunningham Drive.

Firefighters arrived within five minutes and reported that a one-half inch residential supply line was hit in the parkway and requested a call in for NICOR to respond to the scene. The address is about one block west of Palatine High School.


Firefighters were taking gas readings and planning a strategy by 8:10 a.m. Wednesday.

NICOR arrived on the scene about 8:29 a.m. Wednesday.
