Over 24 Arrested in Los Angeles During Occupy Wall Street Demonstrations

More than two dozen Occupy protesters were arrested in L.A. They were part of 300 occupy demonstrators arrested nationwide.

The Los Angeles figure rose to about 80 arrested at Occupy Wall Street demonstrations. Demonstrators were located in the city’s financial district, blocking streets and setting up some tents near a Bank of America high rise.

Demonstrators also gathered in San Francisco, Oakland and Berkley.

Banned from pitching tents on the ground, protesters at the “Occupy Cal” site in Berkeley, California, launched a floating tent using helium balloons.
