Magnitude 5.6 Earthquake — Second Earthquake in Just Over 20 Hrs in Oklahoma

A magnitude 5.6 earthquake hit Oklahoma Saturday night at 10:53 p.m. CDT centered between Sparks and Prague Municipal Airport, 44 miles northeast of Oklahoma City. The earthquake was felt as far away as Tennessee and Wisconsin, according to reports received by the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS).

The earthquake struck just over 20 hours after a magnitude 4.7 earthquake struck at 2:12 a.m. CDT near Shawnee, Oklahoma.
